Mom and Dad are entering their next phase of life — they want simplicity, bright spaces, and a slower pace. Mom asked all of us to help declutter the home we grew up in, so this weekend I’m tackling the living room cubbies. I love a good purge and reorganization, but this one hits different. It’s bittersweet — a reminder that my parents are getting older. Still, I’m grateful to do this with them, not after them.
