It's never too late to change direction! I'm recommitting to my goals now as soon as l've recognized that I'm not liking where things are headed. Don't wait for Monday or Nov 1 or the new year- start today! I've been most successful when I don't start working towards a goal on an arbitrary beginning of a week, month, or year. Just start moving in the direction of your goals and stick with it.
