Save for future reference! We get this question all the time.. What sheen should I use? Living Room/Bedrooms/: Eggshell or satin (soft & wipeable) for more modern look choose Matte (that’s what we have in our Livingroom) Color is Swiss Coffee at 75% in livingroom by BM (matte) and Soft Sage at 65% in Office (satin) by SW Trim: Semi-gloss (durable & easy to clean) color is Chantilly Lace by BM Ceilings: Flat (hides imperfections) @benjaminmoore @sherwinwilliams @behrpaint #benjaminmoore #sherwinwilliams #paintfinish #behr

Our 3 tips when cutting crown moulding. We have made many mistakes while cutting crown and these are the tips we have learned through trial and error that have helped us make accurate cuts. 1. Painters tape on your saw..this allows you to draw a straight line and you can line your crown on this every time to ensure you cut at the same angle for each piece. 2. Cut two templates that will have all 4 cuts you will be making. Inside left, inside right, outside left and outside right. You can use these as a guide for each cut once you measure and it’s time to cut your real piece of crown..we have an entire video on this step by step 3. Cut your crown upside down, crown molding sits at an angle..one edge against the wall, one edge against the ceiling so on the saw, you need to replicate that same angle. The easiest way to do that is to flip the molding upside down. Let us know if you have questions! #walltrim #crownmoulding #walltrim

I did the research and the digging so you don’t have to..this garland comes in 4 sizes its so heavy and looks super realistic..I think it looks just as good if not better than the Hobby Lobby garland..also found this pretty wreath that matches perfectly! Things we have learned while painting our home & thought we would share.. 1. Instead of painting your ceiling white, paint your ceiling the same color as your walls but a lighter shade. Example we painted our walls BM Swiss Coffee 75% strength and our ceiling the same colors but at 25%. (All paint colors are at 100% and you can change the strength by adding more white to the paint. The lower the percent the more white so 75% is less white than 25%). 2. Color drenching..you have probably been seeing this everywhere lately. It is the idea of painting your walls and ceiling the same color, usually the trim as well. Color drenching creates a more dramatic, cohesive & cozy room. Would you try these in your home?
