One of my favorite face oils just won an Allure Best of Beauty Award! I’m a face oil enthusiast and the @elemis Superfood Facial Oil is so deserving. The light texture is perfect and leaves a nice glow before makeup or seals in your other skincare layers before bed. The best part is its antioxidant-rich formula. THIS is why face oils > slugging. You create a nice, barrier-friendly layer that doesn’t just sit on top. It’s actually doing something and nourishing your skin. Right now is the BEST time to stock up on Elemis. It’s part of the Sephora Fall Savings Event running from October 31-November 10. * Rouge: 20% off * VIB: 15% off * Beauty Insider: 10% off #elemispartner

Obsessed with the Picosure Pro laser by @Cynosurelutronic! I first tried it in Korea this summer and loved it. My doctor recommended more sessions for best results, so I visited @Dr. Walter Joseph back home in LA. With numbing cream, it’s relatively pain-free and there’s very little downtime. My skin was red for a few hours after but it looked pretty normal the next day. It’s common for dark spots to appear darker for the first few days while the pigment works its way out. Within a few weeks, skin looks brighter and more even. It’s an incredible treatment for stimulating collagen and elastin production. AND for the melasma girlies out there, it’s the only picosecond device cleared to treat melasma pigment. Any questions? #cynosurelutronicpartner #picosure #hyperpigmentation #melasma

My 2nd time trying the @Trademark Beauty Babe Waves-X. Not even kidding, I did my whole head in about 2 minutes. Super fast and easy. I’m still experimenting with the best heat setting and a little bit of the technique but I really like it so far. It’s a lot easier than struggling to learn flatiron waves! Thanks @Joseph Maine ! #beachywaves

4 months after getting Rejuran (PDRN “salmon sperm”), Juvelook and 3 lasers in Korea, I’m reflecting on what was worth it (and what I’d do differently). Out of everything I’ve ever tried, Rejuran is the treatment that has sparked the most curiosity. I’ve fielded soooo many questions and have done about 6 or 7 interviews about it so far. FWIW, I also got my hands on the pharmacy-grade topical PDRN in Korea and I’m not sure it did much for me (although I have friends who SWEAR by it so results seem quite individual). Are you eager to try? #rejuran #pdrn

Like skincare pot luck: I’ve been “cocktailing” my own daily masks with the toners and essences I have around. Here’s what I did today: ✨ @Neogen_US Niacinamide Glow Up Daily Mask. These are actually big, super-soaked cotton rounds, more like toner pads. ✨ Sprinkled @mixsoon_us Galactomyces Ferment Essence on the pad for brightening ✨ And added a splash of @imfrom_us Mugwort Essence for hydration and soothing Leave on for 10-15 minutes, pat in remaining essence and finish the rest of your skin care. It’s a great way to use up what you have around. And if you like the idea of skin flooding, but are tired of splashing and patting, you can get a similar benefit. What do you think? Have you tried this? #koreanskincareroutine #skinflooding #tonerpads @K-Beauty World

Whoa! This glow! I LOVE a dewy foundation and it needs to be comfortable (I really can’t stand a heavy feel). Many of the cushion foundations I’ve used have settled into my lines or ended up looking dry after a while—not cute. I’m loving this incredible @yepoda The Dewy Day cushion. It has nice buildable coverage that looks dewy but not greasy. It covers my dark spots while still letting my skin look like skin. #yepoda #kbeauty #skincareroutine #skincarecoreana

Personal color analysis in Korea blew my mind! We went to the @Rom&nd US Pink Office and I guessed I’d be a “warm” but how wrong I was! She looks at how colors reflect off your face, from your lip color, eyes, contour. And I could totally see a difference when she flipped back and forth between colors. It turns out I’m a “cool,” specifically Dark Winter which means I’ll be in my goth girl era this summer. In fact, I asked her for my ideal hair color and she said very emphatically, “Never brown…NEVER BROWN.” 🤣 Thanks @K-Beauty World for the fun day! #personalcoloranalysis #personalcolor

I’m so obsessed with liquid microneedling, a Korean skincare treatment that uses microspears (aka spicules, made from microscopic sea sponges!). Similar to laser and traditional microneedling (both which I’ve tried and loved), these little spiky things puncture your skin to promote collagen production (such an oversimplification, I know). In the in-office @Beyond Miracles treatment, there are 50,000 spicules! I honestly had no idea what to expect. And not gonna lie, when @studiovaruni started rubbing the spiky cream into my skin, it hurt. The pain only lasts for a few minutes but it’s intense (imagine little glass shards). There’s very little downtime. My skin was a little red and hot right after (the @Mixsoon US Official modeling mask helped to soothe it). I’m 3 days post-treatment and wow, I’m so impressed with how plump and glowy my skin looks. I’ll write more details this weekend in my newsletter but any questions? #kbeautyskincare #koreanskincare #liquidmicroneedling

First look! Trying @Pink Friday Nails by @Nicki Minaj Kawaii accent nails. Any questions? #pinkfridaynails #asmr #nickiminaj #nailsoftiktok

The Dyson Airstrait: my honest 1-month review! I wanted to live with the Airstrait for a while so I could form a really educated opinion rather than give a quick first impression. It’s made my hair routine simpler and I have found myself reaching for it over a regular blowdryer. I like that it is kinder to hair than other hot tools because the heat never gets over a certain temperature. I had major hair loss after pregnancy and after having Covid last year so I’ve been very concerned about keeping my hair in good condition. It doesn’t get my hair as smooth as a blowout plus flatiron but that’s actually OK for me because I don’t need that look every day. And the ease and speed of this is better than my messy everyday airdry (that inevitably leads to a ponytail or bun at some point). That being said, I have heard that it hasn’t worked for some people with very curly hair so try to test it on your hair texture first if you can. And it IS pricey at $500, but it might make sense as an investment depending on how often you dry your hair. #dysonairstrait
