32 year old me to 24 year old me: Take the risk and get out of your comfort zone 🤝
I’ve been on my fitness journey for over 2 decades and the one lesson I wish I’d learned sooner is…. Your mindset and actions are everything. You can have the perfect ‘diet’ or program made specifically for YOU but if your stuck with an all or nothing mindset with self sabotaging behaviors — your constantly going to be stopping and starting over. The holidays used to be a weak spot for me. I had goals of ‘ending the year strong’ but when I was put in a position to align my actions with my goals, I’d automatically default to what old me would do: mindlessly eat, view the day as ‘ruined’, make a plan to start over the next day just to repeat the same cycle. How I’ve helped hundreds of women break up with the all or nothing mindset and actually change their daily habits and systems to support their goals ⬇️ ✅ 1% better mindset > all or nothing ✅ build belief and confidence through consistency ✅ create daily systems that support their goals ✅ develop a backup plan for social situations ✅ create self awareness to catch the self sabotage ✅ build a personal development routine to create a bulletproof mindset ✅ lean on daily non negotiables that are sustainable You deserve that too 🫶

I used to program and diet hop like it was my job. I’d stick to something (half asses) for a week or two then change things up because it ‘wasn’t working.’ If you REALLY audit your habits and consistency what you’ll probably find (like old me) is that your consistency and adherence is the problem, not the plan or program. With my clients we spend our check ins auditing habits: - sleep, nutrition, steps, water, training, stress, etc We not only audit the numbers and data but we look at the week out of 100%. I don’t expect 100% out of anyone, myself included but if you have specific goals you’re working toward, I recommend 80% consistency most weeks. That’s 6/7 days …. If you truly focus on your daily inputs with your habits and eating (as well as 80% Whole Foods) I guarantee the outcome will improve. Your energy will increase. You’ll feel stronger in the gym. Your clothes will fit better or even looser. The data will start to shift in the right direction. Quit focusing solely on the outcome and chasing progress and focus on chasing consistency instead ‼️
You’re not going to be perfect every day and you don’t have to be. 🫶 When you start something new, it’s easy to think you have to go all in right away… 5 workouts a week, perfect meals, perfect routine. But that’s not what real progress looks like! It looks like starting small. Hitting your step goal. Getting one good workout in. Drinking your water. Going on that walk. Because this journey isn’t supposed to feel overwhelming, it’s supposed to build momentum. And when you focus on being just 1% better every day, it starts to feel doable. It starts to feel good. And you start to see change! So no, you won’t be perfect. But you’ll keep getting better one small step at a time. 💛 #1percentbetter #builtandbalanced #progressnotperfection #balancednotburntout #womenshealth
