Need a last minute Christmas treat? This easy puff pastry snowflake is as delicious as it is pretty. Here’s how to make it: Grab a store bought puff pastry pack. Mix together 8oz cream cheese with 1/3 cup sugar. Add 2 egg yolks, 2 TBSP ricotta cheese, 1 teas. vanilla, & 1/4 teas. salt. Blend well. Roll out 2 puff pastry sheets and cut them in a circle. Spread the cheese mixture and jam of your choice on the bottom sheet, and top with the other pastry sheet. Use a smaller bowl to mark a circle in the enter of the pastry and cut slits all around. Turn and pinch them together, brush with an egg wash and bake @ 400° for 20-22 minutes. Serve immediately.

My family was a little skeptical about the pile of napkins and Mod Podge on the table when I started this project, but paper maché ornaments have a way of winning people over. They look old-fashioned and collected, but they’re surprisingly simple to make:
• Cut Christmas napkins into strips
• Pull each strip through Mod Podge so it’s evenly coated
• Lay the strips onto a plastic ornament, overlapping softly as you go

My husband 100% thought I was insane for spending 100 hours cutting out and glueing a million strips of paper, but don’t they make the house look magical? These paper chains are super easy to make. I used wrapping paper for mine— five different colors/patterns, cut out one and a half inch strips, then cut the strips into 4 shorter strips. Then I glued them together in a paper chain. Super easy and they look so old-fashioned and lovely.
