HEAL ME CHICKEN SOUP🍜🐔 If you wanna cozy soup to make for the cold weather or feel like you are getting sick you gotta make this!! Ginger, garlic, and green onions all have natural anti-microbial properties and the bone broth gives you tons of support for your immune system! Ingredients: ⁃ 2 lb chicken breast ⁃ 8 cloves of garlic, sliced ⁃ 1 large piece of ginger that is peeled and sliced ⁃ 8 green onions (white part for soup, green part to top afterwards) ⁃ 6 cups of water ⁃ 4 cups of bone broth ⁃ 8-10 oz of rice noodles ⁃ 1 cup carrots ⁃ Salt and pepper Sauce: ⁃ 1/4 cup rice vinegar ⁃ 1/4 cup tamari (soy sauce) ⁃ 2 tbsp sesame oil ⁃ 1-2 tbsp of crispy chili oil (depending on how spicy you want it) Instructions: 1. Place the chicken, garlic, ginger, green onions (white), water, bone broth, salt and pepper in a large pot or dutch oven. 2. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 15-18 minutes to cook the chicken. Use a meat thermometer to make sure chicken is cooked through. 3. While the chicken is cooking, place all sauce ingredients in a small bowl and mix together and set aside. 4. Once chicken is done, take the chicken breast out and place in a large bowl. Shred with two forks. 5. After chicken is removed from the pot, add in the rice noodles and carrots to cook. This should only take around 5-6 minutes but look at the cooking instructions on the rice noodle packet. 6. Once noodles are cooked and chicken is shredded, add the chicken back to the pot and stir to combine. 7. Serve the soup in a bowl and add the tamari/vinegar sauce on top and add in the rest of the green onions. We put on a few tablespoons of the tamari sauce for an extra little kick! We gotta talk!! These 5 myths I hear all the time and the are so so false! Starting with: 1. PMS is just part of being a woman! WRONG! PMS is common but not normal. We are taught from such a young age that our periods are painful and we just have to put up with it. Your period should consist of light symptoms that don’t really disrupt your life. If you have symptoms that are more than that, this is your bodies way of saying something is wrong! 2. Gut health has nothing to do with hormones. WRONG! There is a colony of bacteria called the estrobolome that are responsible for metabolizing and excreting estrogen. This plays a huge role in estrogen balance and therefore your cycle. 3. Birth control balances your hormones. WRONG! What birth control does is stops your natural production of hormones and replaces them with synthetic ones. So yes, your symptoms go away but can causes so many other issues. 4. Fat makes you fat. WRONG! Fat is an essential building block to creating hormones in your body. You need fat to survive and keep regular hormone balance. 5. Stress only affects your mood. WRONG! Chronic stress does so much damage to the body. 5 healthy swaps your boyfriend won’t notice!!🤫🤫 1. Cook all your rice, quinoa, soups, pastas with bone broth instead of water! This is an easy way to sneak in more nutrients anyways and tbh I think it makes it taste better! 🍚 2. A chickpea pasta for gluten. I found that chickpea pasta has the closest consistency to normal gluten pasta. Especially if it’s with a red sauce there’s barely a difference!🍝 3. Use greek yogurt or blended up cottage cheese instead of sour cream. It is also an easy way to sneak in more protein. 💪 4. A mashed avocado is the perfect replacement for mayo. It gives the same creamy consistency but way more nutrients! 🥑 5. I’m alllll about a baked good, but I love making them healthy! Next time you want to bake a cake, a cookie, brownies etc look up a healthy recipe. You can always substitute for a nutrient dense ingredient. A well-maintained board is key to a healthier kitchen! 🧼✨ Wood cutting boards, in particular, can harbor bacteria and harmful microorganisms if not cleaned thoroughly. This can lead to cross-contamination and compromise the freshness of your food. By taking the time to clean and sanitize your cutting board, you're not just protecting your food—you're prioritizing your well-being. Instructions: Add baking soda and coarse salt to the entire board. Take half a lemon a squeeze the juice onto the board activating the baking soda resulting in a cleaning paste. Use the lemon rind to scrub the board thoroughly into all the nooks and crannies. Let sit for 20-30 minutes to work its magic. Rinse off and pat dry. Lastly, add coconut oil to the board and lather it up!
