When I first opened the standard delivery box, I was blown away with how strongly I could smell the candle before unboxing it. I got this in Kyoto in Bloom and I’m so glad I got to smell this because now I’m actively looking for other candles from this brand. For a luxurious candle, this is reasonably priced, considering the quality of the wax and the throw the scent has. Kyoto in Bloom smells like an elevated floral scent to me. I get mostly camellia and lotus, with hints of bergamot and citrus notes. It’s not overly floral; the sandalwood grounds the fragrance beautifully. Within 15 minutes, the scent reaches all corners of a room. The smell is so divine that I want a body lotion in this scent. I know that there is an EDP version of this, and it’s on my current wish list. The packaging simple yet elegant, with a touch of luxury that elevates the look of any room. I never understood the hype of expensive candles, but after trying this, this has converted me. An easy 5/5. I already own one of Nopalera’s perfumes, Flor de Madera, which was one of my most used perfumes in my summer 2025 collection, so I had high hopes for Bosque Mistico. I’m glad to say that this also surpassed my expectations and I’m equally obsessed with this as I was with Flor de Madera. For context, my favorite scent categories are gourmands, citrus-based scents, and perfumes with some fruit and floral notes. My mood changes often so I rotate my fragrances per season. There are some perfumes that are perfect year-round, and I feel that Nopalera fits that category. - On the initial spray, I got whiffs of a slightly spicy fruity scent, a scent that immediately invigorates you with positive mood and a sense of alertness. It’s also on the sweeter side, which I liked as it was not cloying or sticky. - After about 15 minutes, the hibiscus note really comes through, a soft, feminine floral. This perfume makes you feel present without being overwhelming, if that makes sense. - After about an hour, notes of honeysuckle, cashmere woods, and hibiscus are the most dominant on my skin. It also leans a bit sweet. I plan on getting a full size of this. As for longevity, it lasted a good 8 hours on me before fading into a skin scent. I love that it’s such a unique take on floral fruity that leans woody and spicy. The projection of this is perfect; it’s not too loud and has a noticeable, elegant presence of its own. Anti-aging products are one of those things that can be finicky so finding a decent one takes trial and error. I was gifted the One Thing Peptide Retinal Serum, which I tried for about a week to see whether it would provide any minimal effects that would motivate me to continue using this. Here are my thoughts on this while trying it during my first week: ☂️ The applicator is by far the worst I’ve tried from all the k-beauty serums I’ve tried. I don’t know if I got a faulty one but it took like the 7th or 8th try to get any product and squeeze onto my face. This already puts it in a bad precedence of what I expected from this brand. ☂️ The serum is very smooth and feels velvety; I liked it a lot when it comes to the feel and texture. My skin soaked it up pretty easily and there was no sticky after-feel. ☂️ The bottle design is cute but I was almost shocked at how this felt like nothing when carrying it — I realized it’s a plastic bottle. Not that it matters, but for some reason, I was under the perception it was a glass bottle. ☂️ After one week of frustratingly using this (applicator issues), I saw mostly improvements in hydration but nothing in particular relating to anti-aging effects. Normally, you can see minimal differences but I haven’t seen much. I guess I’ll have to use it for at least 2 to 3 more months to decide if this is for me or not. But for now, it’s not something I’d reach for. Overall, I’d rate this a 2/5. Application and ease of use matters, and this did not provide that. My most used and favorite body wash brand is from this brand, so I had high expectations for this body wash. Olay Intensly Hydrating Body Wash is great! The packaging is cute and looks nice on my bathroom vanity. As for the formula, it doesn’t dry out my skin and pairs nicely with the Olay Super Serum Body Lotion. It also has a nice floral fragrance which some may find too heavy, but I prefer that. I’d incorporate this into my routine. Let me preface this by saying I absolutely detest the original Lancôme La Vie Est Belle EDP because of the patchouli in it. I cannot stand perfumes with patchouli—it smells like post-gym sweat in a girly way to me. I don’t get the hype around it at all. So, when I received this version, my expectations were low. I’d like to thank @influenster and @Lancôme for sending me this in exchange for my honest thoughts on this. To my surprise, I LOVE the Elixir version! It’s what I imagine the brand should project as the forefront of its image—deep, luxurious, with a hint of rebellion. The notes in this version include raspberry, cocoa butter, and violet, and I can smell all three. The cocoa butter and raspberry combo is AMAZING. It also blends beautifully with my skin scent, which I’m so thankful for. The intensity of this perfume is strong. I sprayed it once on my wrist, and 12 hours later, I could still smell it. It has just the right amount of projection without causing headaches for those around me, yet it’s enough to garner compliments. This is definitely a bold perfume. It’s not loud; it’s very charming. It reminds me of a lady who is demure while exuding boss babe vibes. I love it so much—a solid 5/5.
