Growing up in NY we went apple picking every year- it was a school field trip, Sunday school outing, and my dad would also take us. It didn't dawn on me until Saturday that the five children we spent the weekend with had never experienced Apple picking. So off to the orchard we went, six kids in tow! @docwaterscidery @butlersorchard in Germantown, MD has the scenery, the apples, and the treats. And...the view is breathtaking! We paid based on the size bags we wanted, the staff was friendly and the orchards were easy to pick from. It was a wonderful time! What's your favorite activity (now or when you were a kid) in fall?
