I remember crying myself to sleep while trying to balance work and home. I always vowed to be the most present mama. Yet there I was showing up for work more than my kids. Don’t get me wrong, I never missed a field trip or event but I was always so tired and when I was present — I was distracted. Stepping away from my 9 to 5 was risky and hard but this — these moments where I can be fully immersed into my kids’ life is so special. This week, I had chior practice for my son, my daughter’s field trip and the next day was her pumpkin party (I’m classroom mom.) While decorating a pumpkin with my daughter in her class, I asked her teacher about her Halloween plans with her kids and with teary eyes she shared how she missed her babies being so small. “Time really escaped me and now they’re so big and I just miss these moments.” She said while motioning her hands toward me and my daughter. Immediately, confirmation that being a mother will be my best role yet, even on the hard days took precedence in my heart. #workingmom #motherhood #fieldtrip
