When I first opened the standard delivery box, I was blown away with how strongly I could smell the candle before unboxing it. I got this in Kyoto in Bloom and I’m so glad I got to smell this because now I’m actively looking for other candles from this brand. For a luxurious candle, this is reasonably priced, considering the quality of the wax and the throw the scent has. Kyoto in Bloom smells like an elevated floral scent to me. I get mostly camellia and lotus, with hints of bergamot and citrus notes. It’s not overly floral; the sandalwood grounds the fragrance beautifully. Within 15 minutes, the scent reaches all corners of a room. The smell is so divine that I want a body lotion in this scent. I know that there is an EDP version of this, and it’s on my current wish list. The packaging simple yet elegant, with a touch of luxury that elevates the look of any room. I never understood the hype of expensive candles, but after trying this, this has converted me. An easy 5/5.
