I did my usual morning duties and hit the road 🤷‍♀️ And guess what, everyone was fine!! Sometimes as mom the list of reasons not to do something can feel so long. How will everyone do when you’re not there 😩 What about the XYZ special thing going on. Someone is sick. Again. As hard as it is to get out the door, every time I travel it’s not hard to see the upside for all involved. My kids form deeper bonds with their dad and other family members when I’m not around. I get to show up in a very different way than I would with children in tow and keep my relationships strong. I am always soooo happy to see them at the end of the trip but the time away is so important too. It can be both 🫶 So let this be your sign! Take the trip!!! And to be clear, work travel looks VERY different from a weekend away in terms of the “preloading” I may do to help out.
