My house was always spotless. I cannot go to bed until my kitchen is completely clean. However, we moved into this house and life was just lifing. And I’m sure everyone can relate - two under two, work from home, and a fixer-upper. There was just no time to organize. So yeah, I shoved everything in. Out of sight, out of mind. But then it got to me. I got annoyed, and it really started to affect my mood. As the children grew, getting ready, staying on schedule, and finding things became more and more difficult. So I decided to take my time and declutter my entire house so I could run my day instead of my day running me. This took a long time. This isn’t one of those “30 days to declutter a full house” challenges — even though I think those are great to get started. This has taken me well over a year because I am finding a home for every single item. Here are a couple truths that helped me when getting my home together: 1. I am so put together on the outside. My home should not look like this. I am better than that. 2. I am a better person when my home is calm, so I have to take the time to make it calm. 3. I’m embarrassed if someone were to open a drawer. Basically, very simply I’m better than living in a chaotic space and if you even have 1 area of your home like that, declutter & organize! I guarantee it lives in the back of your mind and needs to be released! #TikTokCreatorSearchInsightsIncentive #declutter #organization #homehacks #minimalism
