This might sound so obvious if you’re already aware of it but! before you book any European travel make sure you check if there are any public holidays in the towns you’re going to! We went to 3 countries over the summer and every single one we visited had a big holiday/celebration going on while we were there🤦🏼‍♀️ Don’t get me wrong, big local events can be a cool experience but the crowds were way worse, some things were closed and we felt like we didn’t get to experience the everyday vibe of the location.
