Part 2 of my kitchen makeover: I painted over granite countertops to make them look like marble… and I’m still shocked it actually worked. 😂 I’ve never painted veining before. So glad to ditch the old style cupboard doors and level up this pantry using bifold doors turning them into French style doors. Total cost of this project was around $160 with hardware, glaze, doors, and pulls. Much more budget friendly than custom doors that would run more than double that price tag. And we got it done in about a day and a half. Easy Holiday Upgrade! I loved these budget friendly gold bells for Christmas but wanted to swap out the rope for something that felt a little more elevated. I grabbed my favorite velvet ribbon and used double sided tape to attach the ends to test it out. I’m going to go back and hot glue now that I know I like it! The tape isn’t really strong enough for long term but perfect to figure out height/lengths of ribbon. I used a mix of my favorite pine and cedar garlands on my mantle. Thursday Tip 💅🏻 Getting back to my roots today and my love for EASY interior design. Sharing my no fail budget friendly Interior Design combo below.. Follow my steps to make any blank wall in your space look fabulous and check out a few example pics of looks using this method that I put together in my showroom. It’s easy! 1. Large credenza, dresser or statement piece in center of wall 2. A pair of fabulous statement lamps on either end and a big bowl or statement accessory in the center 3. A large painting, piece of 🖼️ or group of photographs 4. Stacked coffee table books, bowls, fun accessories, framed photos 5. Flank the console with pair of chairs (optional) but fab to fill up space if you have a long wall). It’s a great place to drop your purse too! That’s IT! Use what you have around your house, thrift around for fun accessories and check out homegoods for lamps and fun art. It doesn’t have to be expensive to look expensive. XO
