The Dyson Airstrait: my honest 1-month review! I wanted to live with the Airstrait for a while so I could form a really educated opinion rather than give a quick first impression. It’s made my hair routine simpler and I have found myself reaching for it over a regular blowdryer. I like that it is kinder to hair than other hot tools because the heat never gets over a certain temperature. I had major hair loss after pregnancy and after having Covid last year so I’ve been very concerned about keeping my hair in good condition. It doesn’t get my hair as smooth as a blowout plus flatiron but that’s actually OK for me because I don’t need that look every day. And the ease and speed of this is better than my messy everyday airdry (that inevitably leads to a ponytail or bun at some point). That being said, I have heard that it hasn’t worked for some people with very curly hair so try to test it on your hair texture first if you can. And it IS pricey at $500, but it might make sense as an investment depending on how often you dry your hair. #dysonairstrait
Replying to @jacqueline.vargasv Muchas de ustedes me preguntan si la Dyson Coanda 2x me causa frizz después del secado, y la respuesta realmente depende de varios factores que afectan a cualquier tipo de cabello. En este video, por ejemplo, la parte del frente se frizzó un poco al salir porque estaba húmedo afuera y acababa de llover. Pero en días con clima frío o seco eso no ocurre. El frizz no depende solo de la herramienta. Influye el nivel de humedad ambiental, la textura natural del cabello, la porosidad, si el cabello está suficientemente hidratado, los productos que se usaron entre otros. No todos los cabellos reaccionan igual… Lo que sí puedo decir con claridad es que, comparada con la versión anterior, los resultados de la Coanda 2x me duran mucho más. El largo y la forma se mantienen TODA LA SEMANA. Mi única área de reto son las raíces, porque siempre son más susceptibles al frizz, pero el resto del cabello queda perfectamente sellado y definido.
yo aquí volviendo a nuestra programación regular después de haber tirado como 3 co*azos haciéndome el pelo este día 😂 el brush de mi Dyson se me salió de la cabecilla como 5 veces… y los 3 centavos de paciencia que tenía ya estaban en negativo. pedí replacement o una Dyson nueva y guess what? sold out 😅 PERO… un minuto de silencio para este secado con aire CASI frío 😱 o sea, una mujer con un pelo bien crespo, que pueda hacerse un secado gentil, con aire mínimo, y que le quede así??? obvio no está tabla tabla, pero para estar en mi casa? para mí está perfecto. y lo más importante: sé que no le estoy metiendo ese calor asesino a mi pelo. so sí… me hizo pasar un mal rato, pero también me da resultados. relación tóxica? maybe. ¿lo sigo consumiendo? también. 💀✨ @Dyson USA @L’Oréal Paris @Kérastase
Técnica con la que mejor me bajo las raíces: Con esta herramienta (Dyson Airwrap Coanda 2x) se me hace muchísimo más fácil bajarme las raíces a la hora del secado. Este cepillo no sé qué es lo que tiene, pero tiene un agarrado muy fuerte: agarra el cabello con fuerza, lo que ayuda a estirarlo bien y al hacerle fuerza al mechón, lo seca al instante. Las raíces quedan laceas, casi como cuando nos pasamos un blower. Importante: el pelo tiene que estar mojado. ¿Por qué? Porque cuando el cabello está mojado, las fibras capilares están más flexibles. El calor combinado con la tensión (estirarlo) ayuda a que el pelo se “moldee” lacio mientras se seca. Si el pelo ya está seco, está en su forma natural y es más difícil cambiarla —por eso baja más las raíces cuando lo hacemos mojado, igualito que con el blower. El truquito está en asegurarnos de que estemos haciéndole fuerza al pelo (estirándolo). No bajar a las puntas hasta que la raíz esté lisa y seca, y luego, poco a poco, bajamos a las puntas para dar forma. Señores, esta técnica no se aprende de la noche a la mañana… es cuestión de practicar, practicar, practicar. Si usted no sabe darle vueltas al cepillo para hacer esta ondita al final: no invente. Se los digo porque YO QUE SÉ cómo hacerlo, se me enredó el pelo feo que me asusté 😅. Este cepillito, así como lo ven, es fuerteeeeeee… agarra porque agarra. Para nosotras que sabemos cómo usarlo es excelente, pero si no tiene experiencia, tenga cuidado con las vueltas. Otra cosa: esta Coanda 2x… ¡CALIENTAAA! 🔥 A diferencia de la Dyson anterior. Este video no tiene cortes, dura 1 min y está en 2x, lo que significa que me sequé este solo mechón en 2 minutos. La rapidez con la que esta herramienta seca es realmente impresionante. ✨
