Let me preface this by saying I absolutely detest the original Lancôme La Vie Est Belle EDP because of the patchouli in it. I cannot stand perfumes with patchouli—it smells like post-gym sweat in a girly way to me. I don’t get the hype around it at all. So, when I received this version, my expectations were low. I’d like to thank @influenster and @Lancôme for sending me this in exchange for my honest thoughts on this. To my surprise, I LOVE the Elixir version! It’s what I imagine the brand should project as the forefront of its image—deep, luxurious, with a hint of rebellion. The notes in this version include raspberry, cocoa butter, and violet, and I can smell all three. The cocoa butter and raspberry combo is AMAZING. It also blends beautifully with my skin scent, which I’m so thankful for. The intensity of this perfume is strong. I sprayed it once on my wrist, and 12 hours later, I could still smell it. It has just the right amount of projection without causing headaches for those around me, yet it’s enough to garner compliments. This is definitely a bold perfume. It’s not loud; it’s very charming. It reminds me of a lady who is demure while exuding boss babe vibes. I love it so much—a solid 5/5. The Skin Therapy Retinol 10 Cream, by Palmers, is a rich creamy moisturizer. It is best used in my nighttime routine as it contains retinol. It also contains 10 pure oils, vitamin C, squalane and hyaluronic acid. It is nice and hydrating and does not dry my skin out. It is a lightweight cream and only a small amount is needed. Wow! Just Wow! This stuff is amazing! It is the Instant Firmx Temporary Eye Tightener Easy Wear, by Peter Thomas Roth. In 10 minutes or less this tightens any lines around the eyes with amazing results. My lines are only minimal and yet I could see a difference. My husband has significant crows feet and puffiness and let me just tell you the results on him are impressive. It is easy to apply a pea sized amount to the back of my hand and use the included applicator brush to spread on a thin layer. It has a tint to it so there is no chance of white cast. You can feel the product working and tightening the skin. It holds up well all day and the results last until I wash it away. I recently tried these patches on a day I was feeling and looking so tired. They are the Instant Firmx Collagen Infusion Tightening Eye Patches, by Peter Thomas Roth. They are easy to apply. I kept them on for two hours. They had changed color to clear as expected. They stayed in place very well with only a tiny bit of migration south. Unfortunately I could not tell any difference. Now I don’t have a lot of lines around my eyes, but I did have a little puffiness that day and I definitely have dark circles. They did dry out a good bit as I wore them and I could see the outline of them on my face after removing them. There are 8 pairs in a package so I will give them another try, but at this point I cannot recommend these. This is so disappointing as I have used other products by the brand that work quite well.
