Also thanks to Tonic Living who gave me this fabric when they heard about the project, thank goodness they still carried it! I found the original chair in a thrift store in 2019 and refinished it. It’s been one of my favorite thrift finds ever with the cool slat back. When the exact same chair popped up on Facebook Marketplace 5 years later, well, there was only one thing I could do. Would you ever try a project like this? Happy 3 year anniversary my love. 🤍 I woke up this morning to a text from my husband that he created this video for us. He is always so thoughtful and resourceful and creative. Some of the traits that I love about him. My love for you is unconditional, it’s effortless, and it’s been an honor being your wife. I knew we were ready to level up from boyfriend and girlfriend to husband and wife when we were able to support each other through our imperfections. We were put through a lot of trials and tribulations. And through the grace of god it was always us who pulled each other out and lifted each other up. Our marriage has taught me: Seek god first, because prayer aligns our hearts with gods will and invites the Holy Spirit to guide our words and actions. Embrace Humility, be willing to listen, admit when you are wrong and value the other persons perspective. Speak the truth in love, honesty without condemnation because our words should build each other up rather than tear us down. Be quick to listen and slow to anger, listening attentively is how we show respect to each other so we are better at responding thoughtfully instead of reacting emotionally. Despite the high emotions. Pursue Reconciliation over winning. Prioritize reconciliation over winning then we can benefit the joys of receiving the gift of love. Reconciliation reflects the heart of Christ and brings healing to broken relationships. Guarding against gossip and slander. When betrayal arises, the temptation to vent and seek validation from others can be strong. Keeping the matter private prevents further damage and allows us to honor our spouse. Forgive as Christ forgave Forgiveness is the core of the gospel and the beginning and ending of a healthy conflict resolution. It is what guides us through every step. While forgiveness doesn’t excuse wrongdoing, it frees us from bitterness and opens the door to restoration. I couldn’t live my life without you.
