California history mixed with theme park history?! You know I’m all about it! ⛏️🤠🐴 - - Earlier this month, we visited (and camped out at) Calico Ghost Town! It is a real live Ghost Town established in 1881, and restored by Walter Knott of @Knott’s Berry Farm in 1951. It was the major inspiration of Walter’s own Calico Ghost Town in his theme park! There were so many references to Knott’s Berry Farm throughout Calico that warmed my heart, as a big time Knott’s fan. - - Have you ever been to Calico? It’s apparently very haunted, and I’m bummed we didn’t do one of their ghost tours.
