The truth is, the "mom pooch" is a sign that your deep core muscles, including your transverse abdominis and pelvic floor, may be weakened after pregnancy and childbirth. These muscles play a crucial role in supporting your spine, pelvis, and organs, and restoring their function is essential for your overall health and well-being. So, if you're struggling to get rid of the "mom pooch" it's time to focus on rebuilding your deep core. This means engaging in exercises that target these muscles, such as pelvic tilts, kegels, bridges, and planks, while also incorporating proper breathing techniques and alignment. By strengthening your deep core, you'll not only improve your posture, balance, and stability, but also prevent future injuries, #postpartumworkouts #lowbellyworkout #deepcoreexercises
Anyone else just fully rely on their sisters advice (who’ve been through pregnancy & motherhood with multiple kids) instead of doing their own research? LOL 😁 Anytime I come across something new or have a Q about pregnancy, I’m immediately texting: ‘What did you do for this?’ ‘Should I add this to my registry?’ ‘Do I need this?’ ‘Worth it… yes or no?’ ‘Should I buy this book or that one?’ ‘Can I have your doulas number?’ ‘Who is your pelvic floor PT?’ ‘Can I eat this or do this while pregnant?’ ‘Can I borrow some of your newborn clothes?’ ‘What maternity clothes should I get, or can I borrow yours?’ ‘Who is your PC for your kids?’ Sisters coming in clutchhh, way better than google 🤣🙂↔️🔒👯♀️ BTW!! This is exactly what we want our @balancedbeyars page to feel like for you… like we are allll sisters in different seasons of life, here to share real advice, tips, and what actually helped us! Replying to @Sydni ✨ Prepping My Body For Pregnancy Series Part 1: Deep core, pelvic floor & mobility #pregnancy #ttc #deepcore #pelvicfloor #hipmobility
This year has been a DOOZY so much going on between moving multiple times, family business, parenting a toddler while pregnant. This pregnancy was definitely different than my first - I was super nauseous for a lot longer and couldn’t just nap it off like my first pregnancy since I have a 3 foot tall mini me to watch over. However, physically I overall felt SO much better this pregnancy - moving a lot more, even worked out almost until the end. Maybe it’s because I knew what to expect more this time or was more calm but I felt like baby boy was also happy and content inside so I wasn’t as anxious in that sense. With my first pregnancy I gained about 60-62lbs 🤐 this pregnancy I gained just shy of 25lbs. I attempted a VBAC because all of my numbers were looking so good and I was a good candidate, but as the time came I got up to 6 cm dilated and we needed to do an emergency C-section ( same as with my daughter three years ago ). While it’s not the birth outcome that I plan for I’m grateful for the doctors for making the decision that they did to keep baby boy and I healthy and I’m honestly so impressed by how fast the recovery has been this go around and how great I feel 2 weeks after such an intense surgery. In four weeks from now, I go to the doctor to get cleared to work out and I’m excited to get back into a routine 🙂↔️🤘🏽 if anyone has any pelvic floor workouts or tips I’m all ears! #csection #csectionrecovery #csectionmom #postpartum #mumsoftiktok
