First pregnancy test after 21 w stillbirth loss. I was pleasantly surprised. This was 10 days post ovulation. There is so much more I can say of our journey over the last 2 years, but I wanted to leave it here with a positive one. TTC, infertility, endometriosis causes so much pain, anxiety and anger. You truly don’t understand it unless you’ve experienced it yourself. So many people likely assume the cliche “conceived on your honeymoon” and you always hear the “just relax”, “just take a vacation”. (Which PLEASE do not ever say these things to anyone). & it has aways frustrated me because we’ve done all of the above before, we’ve taken vacations, we’ve tried the “not thinking about it”. Please remember we did many medical interventions to get our baby— surgery, medication, testing, etc. The only way I was able to cope with the process- trusting in God and loads of therapy 🤍🙏🏼 This is just a part of our story. Anyone else just fully rely on their sisters advice (who’ve been through pregnancy & motherhood with multiple kids) instead of doing their own research? LOL 😁 Anytime I come across something new or have a Q about pregnancy, I’m immediately texting: ‘What did you do for this?’ ‘Should I add this to my registry?’ ‘Do I need this?’ ‘Worth it… yes or no?’ ‘Should I buy this book or that one?’ ‘Can I have your doulas number?’ ‘Who is your pelvic floor PT?’ ‘Can I eat this or do this while pregnant?’ ‘Can I borrow some of your newborn clothes?’ ‘What maternity clothes should I get, or can I borrow yours?’ ‘Who is your PC for your kids?’ Sisters coming in clutchhh, way better than google 🤣🙂↔️🔒👯♀️ BTW!! I have so many more thoughts and feelings but thought this was long enough. Thankfully my clinic agreed to let me go until Monday!!!!! So we’re just going to keep monitoring these follicles and hopefully they start growing even more! I had 18 follicles today! Last time I only had 7 so just need them to grow, grow, grow! I know I’m not the only one getting this subtle reminder that their period is en route. Instead of inhaling a sleeve of Oreos (like I used to in the good ol’ days), I love to intentionally whip up a nutrient-dense mug cake at the end of the day. This little bad boy is packed with protein from both the protein powder and the egg (~28g of protein)… leaving me full and satisfying the strong-a$$ sugar cravings. This is why it’s my go-to treat in those last few days before my menstrual phase begins! Ingredients (serves 1): - 1 ripe banana (mashed) - 1 egg - 2 tbsp flour (all-purpose or whole wheat) - 1 tbsp whole milk - ¼ tsp baking soda - 1 scoop preferred protein powder **Any sweet tasting flavor works best like vanilla, cinnabon, or caramel I personally love using equip prime protein in my baked goods - code BALANCEDBEYARS** - ½ tsp cinnamon - 1 tsp vanilla extract - 1 tbsp chocolate chips - Mash banana in a microwave-safe mug. - Mix in egg, milk, and vanilla. - Stir in flour, protein powder, baking soda, and cinnamon. - Fold in chocolate chips. - Microwave 1–2 mins until set but soft in center. I feel like I’m constantly grieving something new during this process. There is grief every month, with every negative test. Grief ov r my cancelled retrieval, grieving that we went from 7 eggs during our first retrieval to only 1 embryo (so so so thankful for this 1 precious embryo). I let myself take the back burner throughout this process, and I’m slowly putting myself first again. Prioritizing things that make my soul happy, like beach trips at the end of the work day.
